EPFO India has implemented the Unified member portal and offers an online facility to apply for PF claims. All employees can use this facility to withdraw their PF amount in an online mode. It is a simple and straightforward process if you follow all the claim process guidelines. Please check all the required information below.

PF Withdraw

PF Withdraw refers to withdrawing your Provident Fund savings and getting it in your Bank account. You can withdraw your PF amount to any of your savings bank account which is connected with your EPFO UAN account. Employees can withdraw their funds as per the rules and regulations set by EPFO India. Please note that if you change your bank account through your employer then ensure that is seeded with your UAN account.

Type of PF Withdrawal Forms

There are different types of PF withdrawal forms such as…

  • Form 31
  • Form 19
  • Form 10C
  • Form 10D

Now the main question is which form you have to apply online.

  • Form 31 is used for the advance or partial withdrawal. If you are working in a company and need money urgently then you can submit Form 31 and file a withdrawal claim online. Member’s Date of Joining should be available in the EPFO database
  • Form 19 and Form 10C are used for the full and final settlement of your Provident Fund amount. If you have resigned from a company then you can submit Form 19 and Form 10c after two months for a Full and Final Settlement.
  • Please note that for a full and final settlement, your service period in that company must be at least 6 months or less than 9 years and 6 months and the date of exit must be mentioned in your UAN account.
  • Also, note that you will have to fill out Form 19 first and Form 10C after submitting Form 19.
  • If you have completed your 10 years of service and your age is between 50 to 58 years then you can submit Form 10D to get a monthly Pension.

How to submit a PF Withdrawal Form Online?

Step 1: Visit the official UAN member portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.

Step 2: Enter your UAN number, password and log in to your UAN account.

Step 3: Navigate to Online Services -> Claim Form from your dashboard menu. You will see your Member details, KYC details, and service details on this page.

Step 4: Enter your bank account number which is seeded with your UAN account and click the verify button.

Step 5: Click the Proceed for online claim button to start your PF claim process.

Step 6: Now you will have to select the claim form. Click select the form as per your claim type.

Let’s take the example of a Full and final settlement. You will have to submit Form 19 and again you will have to submit Form 10C after submitting Form 19.

Step 7: Select Form 19. An online form will appear on the screen. Fill out this online form. Enter the address as written on your Aadhaar card. Upload a copy of a canceled cheque or bank passbook.

Note: Please note that your name, bank account number, IFSC code, and address must be clearly visible. The document must be in a Jpeg file format with less than 500KB size.

Step 8: After uploading the document, give Aadhaar authentication consent by selecting the check box. Click the Get Aadhaar OTP button. Enter the OTP you received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and click the “Validate OTP and Submit Claim Form” button.

Your Form 19 claim form has been submitted successfully. You can also see your claim request by clicking the “click here” link. You can also download this as a PDF file and take a printout.

Step 9: After submitting Form 19, you can submit Form 10C. Select Form 10C on the selection page and fill out Form 10C by entering all the required information.

Your PF Claim process has been completed now and you will have to wait for 10 to 15 days for the final approval. In case there is an issue in your claim request then you can visit the EPF Grievance Portal and submit your grievance online.

Information required for Online PF Withdrawal?

  • The employee must register and activate his UAN account and must have a working mobile number linked with the UAN account.
  • Please make sure that your EPFO KYC Update has been completed successfully.
  • Your Bank account, Aadhaar Card, and PAN Card must be linked with your UAN account.
  • You can log in to your UAN account and check the Profile information.
  • If will find your Bank account number, PAN number, and Aadhaar number if your KYC is completed.
  • You can also navigate to Manage -> KYC from the top menu and check the Active KYC section to find the KYC details of your UAN member account. There must be an Approved status for all Active KYC information.
  • If you have worked in more than companies and you want to withdraw the Provident Fund amount of the previous employer also then first you will have to transfer your previous member ID to the new member ID and after that, you can submit your Claim Form.

How to transfer the old member ID to a new member ID?

You can do this directly through your UAN account.

  • Login to your UAN account.
  • Click the Online Services menu link.
  • After that, click the “One Employee – One EPF Account Transfer Request” sub-menu link.
  • On the next screen, choose Present Employer or Previous Employer for the Attestation. Claim form attestation is possible through both employers.
  • After that, enter the previous employer’s Member ID.
  • Click the Get Details button. Information about your previous employer will be available on the screen.
  • Select the check box to proceed to the next step.
  • After that, select the Aadhaar OTP verification consent check box and click the Get OTP button.
  • You will get an OTP on the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar Card.
  • Enter this OTP and click the Submit button.

Your request has been submitted successfully and will be processed within a few days after the approval by your Previous or Current employer as per your selection.

How to track PF claim status on EPFO Portal?

After submitting your claim request, you can check the EPFO claim status after logging in to your account. Please follow the below steps.

  • Login to your UAN account.
  • Navigate to Online Services -> Track Claim Status from the top menu.
  • You will get a list of all claims submitted by you. You can see the claim request as per the date.
  • You will see different types of status under the current status column such as
    • Online Claim Submitted at Portal.
    • Claim Rejected Warning Including a Reason.
    • Claim Rejected.
    • Under Process.
    • Claim Settled.
  • You can easily check the current status of your claim request.

If you got the Claim Settled status then your Provident Fund amount will be transferred to your Bank account within 24 hours.
